Thistle Stop Cafe is the ideal spot for your next personal or professional party or reception. We offer a warm, intimate ambience with rugged barnwood floors and teacup chandeliers. Our Cafe team would be happy to cater evening hors d'oeuvres or an afternoon tea or ask us about our favorite full-service caterers. We feature professional sound and lighting and have hosted numerous concerts and speaking events. When you rent Thistle Stop you are making a direct contribution to survivors of prostitution, trafficking and addiction—while giving your guests an event that is meaningful and unique. The Cafe can accommodate 94 for standing events and 65 for seated events. Rental fees begin at $150.00/hour.
WHAT SORT OF EVENTS HAVE BEEN HELD AT THISTLE STOP CAFE?
Thistle Stop has hosted a wide array of private events. The list includes birthday parties, bridal teas, baby showers, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, live performances, and even weddings!
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED FOR PRIVATE EVENTS AT THISTLE STOP?
Yes. However, all alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender. Since we are a recovery community, we ask that all alcohol related trash (bottles, cans, corks, etc) be disposed of by the bartender or outside party.
IS PROOF OF INSURANCE REQUIRED?
Yes. All private events hosted outside of regular business hours must provide proof of $1 million general liability insurance policy. “Thistle Farms Inc dba Thistle Stop Cafe” must be listed as additional insured. If you do not currently have a policy, you can visit www.wedsafe.com to purchase.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT THISTLE STOP CAFE?
The price varies depending on the time and specifics of your event. Amount starts at $150.00.
DO YOU OFFER CATERING?
Yes, we offer catering. Please contact email@example.com for specific menu options.
DO YOU REQUIRE USE OF PREFERRED VENDORS?
No. You are welcome to use any vendors you wish. However, we do have a list of recommended vendors we have worked with in the past.
WHAT IS YOUR VENUE CAPACITY?
Standing capacity is 94. Seating capacity for performance events is 80. Seated dinner capacity is 65 using our tables and chairs. You are welcome to rent more tables and chairs from outside vendors as long as the capacity does not exceed 94.
WHAT OPTIONS DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR BABY/BRIDAL SHOWERS?
We recommend one of our lovely tea packages. Our Afternoon Tea is offered every day at 2:00. You must make a reservation for tea one week in advance. Our maximum capacity for both tea packages is 25 people. If you have more people in your group or you wish to host your tea at a different time, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
WHAT SOUND AND LIGHTING EQUIPMENT DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE? DO YOU ALL HAVE SOMEONE TO RUN SOUND? WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR USING THE SOUND/LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?
We can set-up and turn on the equipment for you. However, we are not qualified to run sound for performance events. There is a $100.00 fee for using our equipment.
CAN SOMEONE SPEAK AT OUR EVENT ABOUT THISTLE FARMS & THISTLE STOP CAFE?
Absolutely! We love every opportunity to share our mission. Please inform our events coordinator that you would like a representative to speak on behalf of the Thistle Farms’ community.
HOW DOES GRATUITY WORK FOR THE CAFE STAFF?
We do not accept individual tips. We ask that any gratuity you wish to give be given as a donation to Thistle Stop Cafe to ensure fairness and equality for all our employees. Once processed, our donations go back to the cafe staff.
CAN WE USE YOUR HEIRLOOM CHINA?
Yes, our china is available to rent. We have beautiful fine china teacups, saucers, dinner plates, salad plates, dessert plates, bowls, and utensils collected from across the world. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
